Fall Outfits

Autumn is in the Air…Time to Work on Our Fall Outfits

Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons; but mostly because I love fall outfits.  I love the colors, the materials, the styles – you name it. The burgundy, russet, amber, crimson, and browns.  I also love the styles; the sweaters, leggings and boots.  What’s not to love?

I can answer that.  Fall trends, with the more substantial fabrics, linings, and accessories, can get expensive.  I don’t like to spend a lot of money on clothes, unless it’s for a classic piece meant to last season after season.  For me, many of the items I buy will only last for one season, so why spend a lot of money on them?

Anyway, my point is, you can put together a couple of very nice fall outfits without breaking the bank.  I’ll prove it to you.  Let’s start with Amazon.

The Challenge: Build Interchangeable Fall Outfits ‘On a Budget’

So here is the challenge.  I have to build a couple of complete, very nice looking fall outfits – that I love – for less than $100.00.  That is a lot to accomplish spending $100.00, but I think I pulled it off!  Take a look and let me know what you think.

I think I did pretty well!  Here is the breakdown:

  • Mocha Leggings:           $10.99
  • White Turtleneck             13.99
  • Batwing Sweater             27.99
  • Floppy Fedora                 16.99
  • Brown/Burgundy Scarf  12.96
  • Brown/Blue Scarf            13.99

Total spend = $96.91; and for that amount of money you have two amazing fall outfits.  Either outfit would look fantastic with just a pair of brown leather boots and a brown bag and you will be set to go.  So for $100, you can look and feel beautiful without any guilt.

I absolutely love the sweater and the hat.  They are so much fun.  By the end of summer I am pretty much done with the hot, humid Wisconsin weather.  I can’t wait for cooler temperatures so I can drag my scarves and boots out of the closet.

Try your hand at it…see what kind of cute fall outfits you can put together inexpensively.  It’s fun!
